About the Artist

My name is Kelsey! I’ve been a full-time zookeeper for about 8 years now. I’m originally from Delaware but I’m currently based on the Gulf Coast of Florida. I’ve always enjoyed drawing but I decided to try digital art in 2022. People seemed to like my art and over time it all evolved into what it is now!

How it all started…

Anyone that works with animals knows that no two individuals of a species look the same. This all started because I wanted stickers of the animals that I work with but none of the ones out there looked like MY animals. I decided to just draw them myself. After a little while, it became clear that lots of other zookeepers felt the same way. I first opened a Redbubble store in the summer of 2022 with the goal of providing representation for keepers and the animals in their care. As my store gained some traction I decided that donating to conservation projects would be a great way to give back to the animals in the wild. I’ve since started printing my own stickers and magnets to keep them affordable for animal care professionals. I’m so grateful for every purchase made and for the opportunities I’ve been given!
